

(e) If no ticket is sold including the winner of either race of the daily double, the entire daily double pool, minus the takeout and the breakage, shall be distributed equally to holders of tickets which include the animals finishing second in the two races of the daily double. If no ticket is sold including the winner of the second race of the daily double, the entire daily double pool, minus the takeout and the breakage, shall be distributed equally to the holders of tickets which include the winner of the first race of the daily double. (d) If no ticket is sold including the winner of the first race of the daily double, the entire daily double pool, minus the takeout and the breakage, shall be distributed equally to the holders of tickets which include the winner of the second race of the daily double. (c) If no ticket is sold that correctly selects the winner of both races of the daily double, the entire daily double pool, minus the takeout and the breakage, shall be distributed equally to the holders of tickets which include the winner of either of the daily double races.

If either race in the daily double ends in a dead heat for first place, the pool shall be calculated as a place pool in proportion to the number of animals in the dead heat. (b) If any part of a coupled entry or mutuel field is a starter, the association may not refund money wagered under this section to persons wagering on the entry or field, regardless of whether any part of the entry or field failed to start. All daily double tickets shall be calculated in a separate pool.
